The Paul Rondeau Memorial Lecture is held every two years in memory of Dr. Rondeau, who perished in a skiing accident in 1981 while President of the Vancouver & District Dental Society.  Dr. Rondeau was a recognized leader in working for the betterment of dentistry, both locally and nationally. He was a humanitarian, a lover of nature, a sportsman, a leader.

 

The Paul Rondeau Humanitarian Award is often presented in conjunction with this lecture to a member of the Vancouver and District Dental Society who has been chosen, by his peers, for his humanitarian involvement in both dentistry and the community. Humanitarian award recipients to date are:

Guest Speaker: Dr. Nasser Barghi, DDS, MA

Dr. Nasser Barghi has presented more than 650 didactic and hands-on clinical courses to audiences in over 30 different countries. He has also authored and co-authored over 250 articles and abstracts in addition to completing a great deal of research on the subjects of bonding new esthetic materials and etched porcelain bonded restorations.

Dr. Barghi is a member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and the International Association of Dental Research. He is a past president of the American Equilibration Society and is currently a consultant to Bisco Dental Products as well as Ultradent Products Inc.
